The Global Citizenship (GC) General Education Program is an exciting and innovative version of USF's Foundations of Knowledge and Learning (FKL) Core Curriculum. In the GC Program, you take a specific set of FKL courses designed with a global focus, participate in relevant on-campus events, perform community service, and best of all study abroad on a scholarship! The goal of the GC program is to increase your knowledge of global processes and cultural diversity and enhance your ethical reasoning and information literacy skills.

By successfully completing the program, you will:

  1. fulfill some FKL graduation requirements
  2. earn a $2,000 study abroad scholarship
  3. be awarded a Certificate in Global Citizenship!

Please note: The GC Program and GC LLC are open to incoming first year students in different academic colleges each fall semester. For Fall 2013, first year students entering the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of The Arts, and College of Public Health are eligible to apply.
